Even rather inexperienced Java developers can develop complex J2EE applications with minimum programming effort. This reduces the time to production and minimizes project cost. By means of an adapterlayer WeWebU OpenECM-Framework based applications may interact with all major IBM ECM repositories and allow managing data from several repositories with just one application with a consistent look & feel. WeWebU Zero Install Office Integration (ZIOI)


WeWebU Zero-Install-Office-Integration (ZIOI) is, simply put, the most intuitive way for MS Office users to interact with an ECM system. Even though MS Office documents are stored within an ECM system, ZIOI enables your employees to access MS Office documents and to work directly within the application itself. Users can open, create, and edit documents without ever realizing that they are interacting with an ECM system. ZIOI also simplifies matters by only using the terms and menus that your MS Office users are already familiar with, such as "Save" or "Open." This even works if you are utilizing document management functionality such as versioning. ZIOI adds these functions into the MS Office menus where your users expect to see them. So while users are "saving" or "opening" files, ZIOI automatically translates their actions as check-in or check-out. As a result, virtually no training is required for your users to interact with MS Office content stored in your ECM system.

As its name suggests, WeWebU Zero-Install-Office-Integration does not require any installation on user machines. A link, instead, is created in the File Open dialog of MS Office once to Zero-Install-Office-Integration. Once this link is created, your users are ready to access, edit and MS Office documents! As with OpenWorkDesk, ZIOI is implemented as a web-service, enabling you to customize this application to your specific needs!
